Pricing
Planned prices for when NatchPlay is out. Free on games we can check at the first packet, £2 a month for every game. Each game's traffic allowance comes from what its players really use, never a round number picked to look generous.
Plans
-
Free
£0
For games whose first packet we can check, so a flood is turned away before it reaches your PC.
- Minecraft Java and Bedrock, Hytale and the other games with a first-packet check
- A tunnel to your server and your own address, yourname.natchplay.com
- A traffic allowance set for each game from measured use
-
Every game
£2a month
For any game, including the ones that can't be checked at the first packet.
- Every game, with its ports found by the agent
- A relay address, so Steam lists your server at ours and it sees real player IPs
- Every region, with one server in more than one at once
- A live page for your relay, with each player's ping and packet loss
Add-ons
On top of the £2 plan. Prices are set once they're measured against what each one costs to run.
-
Dedicated IP
An address of your own on the relay. Your game keeps its default ports, Steam lists it with nothing odd in the address and nobody else's traffic shares it.
-
DDoS routing
Your relay runs through a node whose job is to take an attack. When one comes, your dedicated IP moves to a fresh node in the same region within seconds and the attack carries on hitting the old one. It needs a dedicated IP, since the address has to survive the move.
Questions about paying
Why is the free plan only some games?
A free relay on any port gets used for things that aren't games, which ends with relay addresses on blocklists and your players unable to connect. Games we can check at the first packet let us turn that traffic away cheaply, so they can be free for everyone.
What happens if I go over my allowance?
You get a warning well before it, with your use so far on your relay's page. Allowances are set per game from what its players really use, so a normal server stays well inside them.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Your relay keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for, then goes back to the free plan if your game has one.
Do MC Server Manager relay customers move over?
Yes, with their addresses kept. Nobody has to set anything up again.
